Milo Yiannopoulos is not a political activist.
He is a self-described “conservative” writer, commentator and activist who has been dubbed “the internet’s most popular troll.”
In a recent interview with The Guardian, he called President Donald Trump a “slut,” and compared him to a “murderer.”
When asked about his politics during an interview with CNN, he said, “I’m a conservative.”
He added, “It’s a funny thing.
I am not a Democrat, I am a Republican.”
“I am a liberal who loves America, I love the First Amendment, I hate the Second Amendment, but I do love the Second.”
He is also known for his outspoken support of the Democratic Party, including his decision to write an op-ed for The Washington Post defending Hillary Clinton and criticizing the Republican Party for its stance on immigration.
In an August 2016 interview with MSNBC, he also suggested that Trump had “the same level of temperament as a rapist,” calling the president “the most despicable human being that has ever lived.”
In an interview published on Monday, Milo said that he was “laughing” about the “slight irony” of his name being associated with the word “sluts,” adding that he has been a “stonewalling” supporter of the president.
“I’ve never said that I was a Democrat or a Republican, I’ve never endorsed a Republican or a Democrat,” Milo said.
“But I’ve said, ‘This is the worst president I have ever been around.'”
Milo also added that the President’s supporters “want to turn this country into a banana republic,” adding, “There is no such thing as a liberal republic anymore.”
“The Left is using this as a way to delegitimize the Trump administration.
If you look at the Left’s playbook, it’s basically saying, ‘Hey, look, if we can make Trump a rapist, that means we’ve accomplished something.
That means we have done something for this country.
That makes us look good.’
That’s the message they’re trying to send to the American people.”
Milo also claimed that the White House’s “hate speech policy” has been “completely blown up,” saying, “We’re in the 21st century and we can’t say anything racist.
If we say, ‘You know what?
It’s okay to say that,’ if we say it, ‘Look, we’re going to have to defend the First and Second Amendments,’ then they’re going, ‘Oh, you’re a racist.'”
“The problem is we’ve done it a number of times over the last five years.
It is happening again and again.
It’s the Left who is trying to delegitimate the Trump Administration by saying, We’re going back to the dark ages.”
“What’s really interesting is that there’s this idea that it’s not racism.
It might be a little bit of hate speech, but we’re not racists.
We believe in free speech.
We think this country should be a place where anyone can say whatever they want.
It doesn’t mean you’re not allowed to say hateful things, but if you’re saying it to a group of people and they are a group that you have an affinity for, then you’re allowed to use it to hurt that group.”
Milo, who is a professor at California State University, Long Beach, was born in California, but grew up in the United Kingdom.
He graduated with honors in journalism from Oxford University in 2014 and received his master’s degree in journalism at the University of Oxford in 2017.
Milo told The Guardian that he believes the media has “been totally controlled” by “the Democratic Party” since the 2016 election.
“We have seen the Democratic leadership, who were the worst, in this country, in 2016, come out and basically say they’re not going to enforce hate speech laws,” he said.
He added that “there’s been no movement in terms of legislation on hate speech.”
Milo said he “absolutely” believes that “the media has been controlled” since “2016,” saying that it is “just a shame that they’re so scared to speak about this stuff.”
Milo went on to say, “The media is being controlled by the Democratic party.”
Milo told the Guardian that his opinions have been “taken by a number” of mainstream outlets over the years, including The New York Times, which published a front-page article in 2017 titled “Milo Yiannopoulos, the Dangerous Faggot Who Is Really a Nazi.”
“They’re scared to say anything.
They’re scared of losing their jobs,” Milo told CNN.
“They’ve been cowed.
They’ve been scared.
And it’s just a shame.”
Milo’s views have also been taken by The New Yorker, which called him a “racist
