Jimmy Kimmel: I was so afraid I’d get fired for wearing a T-shirt that says ‘I’m a woman’
A few days after Jimmy Kimmel was fired from his daytime talk show because he wore a T shirt that said “I’m A Woman,” he went on an Instagram post to show his support for women.
“I was so scared when I saw the shirt,” he wrote.
“I mean, I know you were a man, but it was so stupid.
I was thinking, ‘How dare you wear a T that says I’m a man?
I’m so proud of you.'”
The show was canceled after a public outcry and Kimmel apologized for his actions.
He continued his apology with a new T-Shirt that said, “I Am A Woman.”
He also posted a video of himself wearing the shirt in front of a crowd.
“When you see the shirt, it’s hard to believe that I’m actually wearing a shirt that says, ‘I am a woman,'” Kimmel said.
“It’s so liberating to feel like you’re not just wearing a dress or a suit, you’re actually wearing something that says you’re a woman.
I think it really helps with the acceptance that I have.”
